Hello there! It’s been a while. Hope you are ok.
How am I? Not so good but thanks for asking.
So what’s going on? Well, I’m biohacking my way to a new version of myself and I’m taking you on such a journey, if you wish to follow of course, with a new series focused on the things I am doing to improve my overall health.

Not like this!
On my way to a new me!
I had started a series a while back called On my way to a new body 🙂
You can read about it in this first piece: On my way to a new body
And then in this one which was a bit funny! On my way to a new body – progress report and surprising side effects!
There was a first update with promising results after 9 months: On my way to a new body – 9 months in review
And also a yearly review where the stagnation phase was described: On my way to a new body – A year status report!
And then the stagnation turned into a real setback.
Then all progress were wiped out and things got bad…
Strategic changes were necessary
If you refer to my previous ‘on my way to a new body‘ series cited above, then you know that moving to our new apartment had disastrous effect on my health. It was a taxing period.
Then if you read anything in my former monthly recap series, you may have realised that I never got to recover from this specific period, as it was followed by another extremely taxing year and a half. Not going to expend but this really took a toll on me, stressing my body beyond anything I could have imagined.
Lastly, as you may or may not have seen, I got an Oura ring a few months back. I knew things were bad but it was still an eye opener. Really not in a good way. I’ll let you read my take on it. In short, I had to take actions because it wasn’t going to end well.
And somehow, this lead me down the rabbit hole of biohacking.
I’m starting over but with a different approach
My Oura ring opened my eyes and I’ve recognised the need for change. In the process, I realised I was actually embracing the biohacking movement!
What is biohacking?
Biohacking is a term that refers to the lifestyle changes you make to improve your health, while wearable devices, like my Oura ring, make it possible to monitor progress.
Biohackers usually focus on sleep optimisation, exercise and nutrition. They tend to implement routines which may include fasting, light exposure, cold and heat treatments (like cold plunges and sauna), breathing exercises and meditation. While some of the biohacks are simple, others are a lot harder to implement and once you take a step into the biohacking world, you will notice a lot of the discussions revolve around supplements.
That’s a general background but there is a lot to be said about biohacking. Lots of levels, lots of controversies, lots of gimmicks, weird stuff and snake oils. But there are also lots of extremely positive aspects. Lots of doable and simple aspects. Small, incremental and yet life changing things we can all do to improve our health.
Health is wealth
Here, I will let you think of the 2 below quotes. To me this is motivation. I own it to myself.
If you are not convinced, that’s fine. You do you.
“You either pay for good health now or bad health later”
“if you think wellness is expensive, try illness”
So what’s next?
Well, you can expect lots of biohacking discussions!! I have been at this for a couple months now so I do have some feedback to provide on some of the things I tried, things I implemented, things I’m still trying to figure out. It’s a process.
Let me know if you are are on a similar journey and we can motivate each others!
