Giving thanks for a magical October

As September ended better than it started, it made ways for a magical October. And I can’t get enough of this!

Sunrise in October

Frosty morning, glorious sunrises, leaves changing colour and cosy afternoons spent reading have been good for my soul. That’s magical on its own. Add some sewing, small DIY, strolling through antique shops and a good amount of self care and that takes the magic to the next level.

But, it doesn’t even stop there, as magical things attract more magical things!

And so I received some truly magical news, serendipitous events lead to major progress and happy resolutions of big issues.

Yes you can see magic in different things. That’s ok. I promise you there are no other explanations for some of the things that happened.

Nugget of wisdom: Some path are meant to be walked alone

There are plenty of things that one should be comfortable dealing with alone. And I’m not talking about dining in a restaurant or some major work improvements. Your healing journey is your own. Your financial path is as well.

In this day and age, where social media outrage is a currency, where every message that starts by ‘this is going to be controversial’ is just out there to get more views, don’t be like everyone else.

If you have found your path, if you have a business idea, if you have an idea for a marvellous book, if you are on a journey of self realisation, healing or else, there is really no need to go out advertise it.

Get working instead. Work on your idea. Write that novel. Walk that path you are on. Take those night classes. Learn to meditate… Do the things you want to do and be quiet about it until it is done. Because the more you’ll be out there, talking about the things you want to do, the less you’ll be doing them.

Free yourself from society’s advice and do you, the best version of you of course.

Achievements and Gratefulness

I’m finally starting to really enjoy meditating. It has been a long road. Some meditations have taken me to weird places. Some made me cry really bad. There has been a lot of releasing happening this month. It must be eclipse season! 😉 Let’s not sugarcoat it, it was hard, but it helped me feel better afterward. Afterward is the key!

I’m somehow happy that I managed to shake things up. This draining project I’m managing wasn’t moving forward fast enough and I managed this month to make people understand that they need to put it on their priority list. And amazing thins happened! I asked firmly for what I wanted, and I received.

In a complete different register, I got some sound proofing panels for the staircase of our building and whoa! What a difference it makes. I’m incredibly happy that it muffles the screaming and the banging so much. When you have unruly neighbours, you may have to spend money to shield yourself, to protect yourself.

In another completely different register, I got some saddles for my second motorcycle! The renovation has been stalled but I have hopes that it will get back on track soon. Little thing that makes me happy!

And yes, like every months and every week and every day, I’m thankful for my independent status. Especially when the money is flowing into my bank account as my invoices get paid! 😉

What I’m reading

I’m still lost with all the books on my night stand!

I had planned to read one book a month this year. It doesn’t look like much but it was a challenge for me considering how little I had read the previous year. At this point, I think I’m on track but I lost count because some books just can’t be read straight on. Some of the ‘self help’ books I took on take me longer to digest. That’s ok but I have more coming so I’d better get cracking!

Looking forward

Grilling chestnuts, wearing my glorious witchy outfit including my amazing cape which now has the most beautiful claps. But first, I’m heading to London and for once I’m happy about it. We’ll see how it turns out.

I guess I’m already looking forward to Christmas!
